West Port Industrial Center
Morgan Asphalt was awarded the contract to construct and install the infrastructure in the Westport Industrial Center in Salt Lake City. The five-month project consisted of over two miles of road construction and underground utilities consisting of 12-inch culinary water, 15-inch sanitary sewer at one-tenth of one percent fall, a wet well set 30 feet in the ground, and a main line sewer lift station.
Morgan Asphalt also installed 36-inch storm drain and one mile of drainage canal; four miles of electrical conduit, vaults and street lighting; and curb, gutter, and sidewalk. Morgan was proud to have installed all the sewer pipes with no rework and no callbacks at the required tolerances, even exceeding the owner’s schedule to turn over a completed project on time.
