  • Laborer

    Morgan Asphalt is hiring laborers for our paving and utility divisions. Experience is preferred but we’re looking for individuals of all levels. We provide on-the-job training and each position has opportunity for advancement based on performance.

  • Asphalt Paving Foreman

    Morgan Asphalt is hiring an asphalt paving foreman to manage a paving crew, material and trucking necessary to complete projects. The foreman will work with the superintendent to plan, organize, and coordinate the scope of work for each project and will be the company representative and authority on the job site when the superintendent is not available. The foreman must have a clear understanding of all the equipment and the project scope of work expected from them and a willingness to keep all operation certifications current and complete. Management responsibilities involve directing personnel to do their jobs in order to complete the project and may include training and/or discipline requirements to increase profits and improve customer relationships and satisfaction.


    The paving foreman will operate and properly maintain equipment to keep it clean and operating. He or she will need to acquire in-depth understanding of each project and ensure quality control on the job. The foreman must have a working knowledge of general construction safety policies and procedures, ensure adherence to all health and safety standards (PPE), and maintain awareness of threats on any job site. He or she will document and track daily activities, quantities, locations and hours and will communicate any change orders to the superintendent.


    Qualifications for this position include 5-10+ years of successful industry experience. The foreman should be self-motivated and exhibit a team-first, results-driven approach to completing jobs on time and on budget. Excellent organizational prioritizing skills, as well as an ability to build and maintain relationships with customers is a must. He or she must possess strong communications skills, including negotiation and problem solving, and must be willing to give and follow directions and be able to see what needs to be done and do it without being asked. The foreman must be physically able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test and be capable to work all day according to local laws, while paying attention to their personal surrounding and changing environments. Thoroughness, efficiency, reliability, and exact timeliness are critical!

  • Equipment Operator

    Morgan is hiring equipment operators for its paving and utility divisions. An equipment operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Equipment may include trucks, front end loaders, pavers, rollers, dozers, graders, compactors, and other heavy civil construction pieces of equipment. The equipment operator must also clean, maintain, and secure all equipment for which he/she is responsible. Experience is preferred but we’re looking for individuals of all levels. We provide on-the-job training and each position has opportunity for advancement based on performance.

  • Truck Driver (Dump Trucks, Belly Dumps, Strong Arms) & Water Truck Driver

    Morgan Asphalt is hiring local drivers for our trucks to safely load, haul and unload materials (asphalt, road base, fill material, etc.) at construction sites along the Wasatch Front. Drivers must be willing to drive long distances and work long hours, including early in the morning, late at night, and on Saturdays at times. Drivers are required to observe all safety standards while monitoring loads to ensure all DOT regulations and local laws are met and obeyed. They are responsible to inspect and ensure the correct materials are loaded and need to do basic preventative maintenance (pre- and post-trip) and communicate with our shop on all equipment maintenance needs. Drivers must maintain log books (Verizon Connect) and records detailing materials and locations. They need to ensure adherence to all health and safety standards (PPE) as well as maintain awareness of external and internal threats on any job site.


    Qualifications for this position include 3+ years of related driving experience with a complete understanding of the trucks that will be operated. Drivers should have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B minimum; Class A preferred). They should be self-motivated and exhibit a team-first, results-driven approach to completing their jobs. Drivers must be willing to follow directions and be able to see what needs to be done and do it without being asked. Thoroughness, efficiency, reliability, and exact timeliness are critical!
