  • Asphalt Hot Plant Operator

    The Asphalt Hot Plan Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of 400 TPH Gencor hot plant and the effective utilization of 6 silos to control multiple mix inventories to assure quality mix production. The operator will possess excellent customer service skills and have the ability to read and understand job schedules as well as coordinate with field crews. The operator will oversee the truck scales and load out as well as the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the plant. He or she will supervise and train the plant production crew and will be in charge of admixture inventory tracking and ordering, including import aggregates, lime, and AC binder oil. Other duties will be assigned as needed.


    Qualifications for this position include 5+ years of experience operating a hot plant (Gencor experience preferred) as well as heavy equipment experience – excavator, loader, skid loader, aerial manlift (CDL a plus). The operator must be able to work with others as a team and possess basic computer and basic math skills. The operator must also be self-motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and a good safety record. He or she will also need to have excellent communication skills on the telephone, radio, and email. Please note that this position requires some physical demands.

  • Quality Control Manager

    The Quality Control Manager will oversee production of all new mix designs for Morgan’s new asphalt plant and will be responsible for building an aggregate and asphalt mix design and testing lab. The manager will provide QC/QA leadership, including managing costs, and assist in production forecasting and budgeting. He or she will identify new material opportunities and recommend material related cost saving strategies as well as make process and equipment recommendations to management. He or she will work with stakeholders of varying levels inside and outside the organization, including production crews, construction crews and sales staff. In addition, the manager will investigate and resolve internal and external customer material concerns, including product placement and performance problems. He or she will produce material submittals, manage design and testing data entry, compose emails/letters of correction and recommendation and provide professional technical support, troubleshooting and material trend analysis. The manager will also represent Morgan in industry and professional associations. Other duties will be assigned as needed.


    Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Civil Engineering or similar technical field (or equivalent relevant education and work experience). This position also requires 5+ years in construction materials quality control and supervisory experience with previous lab experience in an aggregate/HMA lab strongly preferred. The manager must have technical knowledge and experience with HMA mix designs and parameters and must be able to work with others as a team and possess computer proficiency, specifically in Excel and MS Office. He or she must also be self-motivated with a high degree of personal integrity. He or she will also need to have excellent communication skills on the telephone, radio, and email.

  • Plant Foreman

    Morgan is hiring a plant foreman for its crushing division. Experience is preferred but we’re looking for individuals of all levels. We provide on-the-job training and each position has opportunity for advancement based on performance.

  • Equipment Operator

    Morgan is hiring equipment operators for its crushing division. An equipment operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Equipment may include trucks, front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other heavy civil construction pieces of equipment. The equipment operator must also clean, maintain, and secure all equipment for which he/she is responsible. Experience is preferred but we’re looking for individuals of all levels.   • Truck Driver

    Dump Truck Drivers will be responsible for the safe operation of a Dump Truck. The job involves hauling materials from location to location within a construction site as well as loading and unloading materials. Dump Truck Drivers are required to observe Standards of Safety while driving and operating the truck. A drug test and Pre-employment Physical must be completed before beginning work.
